WooThemes launches

It is with extreme pride that I can finally announce the launch of our all new WordPress premium theme shop and theme club – WooThemes. After months of careful planning, pixel pushing, browser testing and copywriting we are finally happy with what we have created and are ready to go public with it.

Together with my awesome team mates – the South African WordPress rockstar – Adii, the Norwegian fishermanMagnus Jepson, and the newly aquired Englishman – designer and speaker – Elliot Jay Stocks we should be a force to be reckoned with within the WordPress theme space.

As some of you may be aware we have been selling premiumWordPress themes through our rather dusty Premium News Theme shop (no need for a hyperlink as you will be re-directed to WooThemes anyways) for a while now, however it was only ever intended to house one theme there, as its name was somewhat limiting us to a niche style of WordPress themes. The all-new WooThemes is the evolution of our previous online shop that now enables us to explore all sorts of exciting theme ideas and creations.

For the launch of WooThemes I was in charge of branding our new brainchild, including logo design, iconography sourcing, tweaking and placement, the skinning of Adii’s theme template and the facelift surgery performed on the new forum. I am extremely pleased with how it has turned out and hope we have created a recognizable brand.

Together with our two new theme releases – Proudfolio by Elliot Jay Stocks and VibrantCMS by Adii you’ll find heaps of new functionality on Woothemes including an enhanced affiliate program & improved theme support center.

Head on over to WooThemes to find out more about what we have to offer and view the affordable subscription packages that grant you access to all our themes, both present and future! We guarantee a new theme release every month.

  1. Very nicely done (yet again). I really like the most recent theme too, Proudfolio, very nice detail work.

  2. Congratulations Mark & team!

    It’s looking really good!

  3. Eh.. do the stock art companies know you are selling their art to people? That’s illegal.

  4. @Hash and @Tripeak: Thanks guys, it’s been a lot of hard work, but the benefits are starting to show. Lots planned for the coming months 🙂

@John: If you are going to make sweeping statements please be a bit more detailed in your commentary.

  5. Hi there – I am a recent (pre-woo) customer of premium themes. I use Flash News. I am glad you guys are expanding the business. But your whole announcement has left me with quite a few questions.

    1) What happens to me now? Will I still get support for Flash News even if I don’t sign up for a 3 month or 6 month deal?

    2) When new versions of WP come out and the theme is updated, will I have to get a new subscription just to get the updated version?

    3) How do those subs work? You get access to all themes for 3 month but then you can use them as long as you like – OR – you are only allowed to use the themes for as long as you have your sub (which would get a bit costly).

I know the e-mail clarified you have to manually create a new account for me – but I guess all this other stuff has left some blanks for me that I need filled in.

  6. Congrats, Markus & team!

  7. i am not good at English, this theme free?
