It’s obvious that home media center’s are the future. Everyone will have one, hooked up to their massive plasma screen, a little box that will house all your music, all your movies, all your games, perhaps even wirelessly connect to your kettle and at the click of a button make you a cup of coffee.
I found this link on Gilblog, and thought all you techheads visiting my site might enjoy it. It’s a “How to” guide, to building your own media center computer using Linux. Forget paying an arm and a leg for Microsoft Media Center software. Build it yourself, according to your needs, for free.
The Linux HTPC Howto – Basic and Advance Media Center Build Tips
Personally, I wouldn’t know where to start, but I want one!

Well, if you are like Mark and are keen to place yours together, a couple of places I would recommend starting:
A great forum for anything technical in ZA (including your very own home theatre PC) head on over to http://techies.co.za/phpBB2/index.php?c=20
And a great place to do some of the shopping would be http://www.hometheatrepc.co.za (they are based in Claremont, Cape Town and their Live Support is very helpful)
Enjoy 😉
Thanks for the links Darren. Definitely going to have a look around there. Glad to see you have found my blog 🙂
