Looks like Google might be changing their logo. Only slightly I might add. Gmail have recently updated their logo, so its only common sense that leads us to the conclusion that the Google logo will change, to fit the same style. It’s about time. The Google logo has been around for about 10 years. Change is good.
What grates me though is that they probably spent millions of dollars on design costs to get this new logo, and I could have done it … in about 2 minutes.
Open Google logo in Photoshop – Right Click on the Logo Layer – Select Blending Options – Untick Bevel and Emboss. Voila! Done! That will be …hmmm… 2 million dollars please.

Yes, BUT, yours would have lacked the “designed by a high powered silicon valley graphic design house” l337nezz.
Also yours wouldn’t have the gradient as in their new design. 😛
Blending options – uncheck emboss, check gradient overlay 🙂 3 million dollars for that added work please.
