My apologies for the lack of posts as of late. Why you may ask?
Firstly, because I have been in serious depression after England got knocked out of the World Cup. I don’t know who I dislike more, Wayne Rooney or Cristiano Ronaldo? Anyways, I’m over it now, and I’m trying to move on. I’ll keep my soccer-theme-banner up until the end of the world cup though.
Secondly, and more importantly the reason for the lack of posts is the change that is about to take place in my everyday life.
I’m leaving for the UK this Saturday.
This may come in shock and horror to you, but before you start moaning about me giving up on this country and following the flocks of sheep to the UK, I must say I’m going with some clear objectives, that I don’t feel I have to mention on my weblog, but I will do anyway. Cos I’m a nice guy, that lots of you find interesting. *Joke*
I was born in the UK, as you may have read somewhere on this blog before, so half my family reside in the UK. Living in the same country as this family will be something I haven’t done in a long time, 14 years to be exact. So I’m really looking forward to that.
I’m able to still build and work for my South African based company from the UK. I’ll be opening a mobile office in London, hopefully procuring more European web design clients. I will also be researching for, and eventually launching, a new web project that my company and I are really excited about. Stay tuned for more news on this.
I plan to travel extensively around Europe over the year, soaking up the unique experiences every country in Europe has to offer.
My time frame is around a year, maybe shorter, but not longer.
So there’s my life update. Don’t worry this site is not going to become a travel diary, its content will remain the same. And the regular posts will still visit your RSS reader. You might get the occasional picture of some snowy ski slope, or a sunny Greek Island though. Just to make you a little jealous …
